“Special needs” is a general term for a wide range of physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral issues including developmental delays, learning disabilities, medical or psychiatric diagnosis, and congenital defects. When a child is labeled as “special needs” it usually means there is some part of their mind or body that is not working the way that would be considered normal when looking at the rest of the population as a whole. These children require a specialized health and wellness approach tailored to their specific individual case.
What Caused my Child's Disability?
Causes of these conditions in children can result form a traumatic birth, breach birth, vertebral subluxations, epigenetic and genetic history, congenital brain malformation, maternal drug or alcohol abuse, vaccination injury, or other traumas which occur before, during, and after birth. As a result the vertebrae or bones of the spine which protect the spinal cord can lose their normal motion or position resulting in delicate nerve damage which then interferes with the baby’s brain and it's ability to control the proper functioning of organs and tissues. Special needs children include those with physical, mental, emotional, and cognitive issues. These issues include but are not limited to learning disabilities such as ADD or ADHD, dyslexia, autism, torticollis, Asperger Syndrome, Scoliosis, Cerebral Palsy, and a host of genetic conditions. This may all seem hopeless to the parents of special needs children, however with the proper treatments your children can lead to rewarding and healthy lives. Take heart there is hope!
